Mark Ruffalo would love to join the Parasite TV series

February 12, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Mark Ruffalo has revealed that he would be very interested in joining the Parasite spin-off TV series.

This past week, South Korean hit Parasite shocked Hollywood when it took home Best Picture at the Oscars. The Bong Joon-ho film has had a stellar reception ever since arriving on the scene and now a TV show spinoff is going to be made by HBO.

Mark Ruffalo is reported to be in talks to join the project as the lead and TMZ (via ComicBook.com) managed to catch up with him to get his thoughts: “That’d be amazing. He’s [Bong] amazing. I love him. His speech last night was incredible he made an amazing movie and I’d be honored to be able to play something in that. It’s so beautiful. You know how it is now a days, nothing’s done until it’s done but maybe one day. It’d be cool to be a part of.”

What did you make of Parasite‘s Oscar success? Would you like to see Ruffalo join the TV show? Let us know in the comments below and on social media @flickeringmyth.

Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide “indispensable” luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks.
