Matt Letscher returning as Reverse-Flash in The Flash season 2

December 23, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Matt Letscher is set to reprise the role of Eobard Thawne – a.k.a. Reverse-Flash – in the eleventh episode of The Flash season two, appropriately titled ‘The Reverse-Flash Returns’.

“His impossible return to Central City puts a member of the S.T.A.R. Labs team in unexpected danger, forcing Barry to make a life-changing decision,” states executive producer Todd Helbing.

The last we saw of the time travelling Eobard, he’d been erased from existence after his ancestor Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) committed suicide, so it remains to be seen whether this will be the same Reverse-Flash, or one from an alternate Earth.

The Flash is currently on its midseason break and will return to The CW on January 19th.
