Mavis and Drac will be back in Motel Transylvania

June 9, 2024 by Gary Collinson

The movie series may have came to an end (supposedly) with 2022’s Hotel Transylvania: Transformia, but fear not fans as Mavis and Drac will be back courtesy of Netflix in 2025 with the newly announced animated series Motel Transylvania.

Announced as part of the streamer’s Next on Netflix reveals, the official synopsis for the new series reads: “Motel Transylvania is open for business, as Drac & Mavis take a break from their Transylvanian haunts to set up a brand new resort for humans and monsters in the California desert. Vampires and sunshine… what can go wrong!?”

The Hotel Transylvania franchise launched with the first animated movie in 2012, with Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez lending their voices to Count Dracula and his daughter Mavis. Sandler sat out the fourth movie due to scheduling conflicts, and both characters were recast for the two-season Hotel Transylvania: The Series which ran between 2017 and 2020.

Motel Transylvania is coming to Netflix in 2025.
