Meet the man behind the hero in trailer for Sylvester Stallone doc Sly

October 18, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

You know him as Rocky Balboa, John Rambo, or Sgt. Joe Bomowski from Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, but a brand new documentary hopes to show you the man behind the hero, and Netflix has just released a first trailer for Sylvester Stallone retrospective, Sly.

Directed by Elvis Presley: The Searcher filmmaker Thom Zimny, Stallone also serves as an executive producer on Sly alongside Bill Zanker, Sam Delcanto, Braden Aftergood, Jon Beyer, Tom Forman and Jenny Daly, with Maren Domzalski and Adrienne Gerard as co-producers. Check out the trailer below…

For nearly 50 years Sylvester Stallone has entertained millions with iconic characters and blockbuster franchises, from Rocky to Rambo to The Expendables. This retrospective documentary offers an intimate look at the Oscar-nominated actor-writer-director-producer, paralleling his inspirational underdog-story with the indelible characters he has brought to life.

Sly streams on Netflix from November 3rd, 2023.
