Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are Thunder Force in trailer for Netflix superhero comedy

Netflix has released the first poster and trailer for Thunder Force, the upcoming superhero action comedy from writer-director Ben Falcone which stars Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer as Lydia and Emily, estranged childhood best friends who reunite to fight crime after gaining superpowers.

In a world where supervillains are commonplace, two estranged childhood best friends reunite after one devises a treatment that gives them powers to protect their city.

Thunder Force arrives on Netflix on April 9th.
