Michael B. Jordan and Josh Brolin rumoured for Sam Raimi’s A Prophet

September 19, 2017 by Gary Collinson

According to a report over at That Hashtag Show, Sam Raimi is eyeing Michael B. Jordan and Josh Brolin for the lead roles in A Prophet, his planned remake of the acclaimed French prison drama from Jacques Audiard.

Released in 2009, A Prophet follows a vulnerable young man who finds himself sent to a brutal prison, where he finds himself taken under the wing of a powerful mob boss and rises through the ranks. However, as his power grows, so too do his enemies.

Raimi first joined the project back in January of 2016, and will direct from a script by author Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone, Shutter Island).

Michael B. Jordan will next be seen in Marvel’s Black Panther, while Josh Brolin has two superhero projects incoming next year in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool 2.
