Could we see a Stranger Things star as one of the most infamous pop stars of all time? If Millie Bobby Brown gets her way, she could one day star as Britney Spears.
While promoting her new film Enola Holmes 2, Brown said the story of Spears “resonates” with her. Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show recently, Brown opened up about wanting to play the iconic pop singer.
“I think her story, first of all, resonates with me,” states Brown. “Growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was young. I mean, same thing with you, I see the scramble for words, and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way – and hers only.”
Britney Spears caught wind of this news and offered a hilarious take on the casting and potential biopic.
“I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude, I’m not dead.” Spears posted to Instagram.
While Spears feels it’s way too early for a biopic, it seems like she handled it with heart and humor. Also, someone like Millie Bobby Brown playing the role could be quite a big deal.
