My Adventures With Superman returning for season 2 on Adult Swim

July 14, 2023 by Gary Collinson

While the new James Gunn and Peter Safran era of DC Studios has led to a general cull of past DC properties – led by the recasting of Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel as David Corenswet prepares to fight for truth, justice and the American Way in Superman: Legacy – it seems the Man of Steel is somewhat impervious to the regime change on the small screen.

Not only will Tyler Hoechlin’s Supes return for a (shortened) fourth season of Superman & Lois on The CW, but now we have confirmation that the Adult Swim animated series My Adventures With Superman will also return for season two – the news coming direct from series creator Jake Wyatt on Twitter.

Described as a “coming of age story”, My Adventures With Superman features Jack Quaid as Superman/Clark Kent, Alice Lee as Lois Lane and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen. Also featuring in the first season are Darrell Brown as Perry White, Reid Scott as Jonathan Kent, Kari Wahlgren as Martha Kent, Jason Marnocha as Jor-El, Vincent Tong as Steve Lombard, Melanie Minichino as Cat Grant, Jeannie Tirado as Lana Lang, Kiana Madeira as Supergirl, Zehra Fazal as Livewire, David Errigo Jr. as Mister Mxyzptlk, Michael Yurchak as Winslow Schott, Michael Emerson as Brainiac, Jake Green as Parasite, Laila Berzins as Heat Wave, Catherine Taber as Silver Banshee, and Chris Parnell as Deathstroke.

My Adventures with Superman catches up with twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet.

In this serialized coming-of-age story, we follow Clark as he builds his secret Superman identity and embraces his role as the hero of Metropolis – and perhaps the world. Lois, now growing into a star investigative journalist, takes aspiring photographer Jimmy Olsen under her wing. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love, sharing adventures, taking down bad guys, stumbling over secrets, and discovering what it means to be Superman and Lois Lane.

My Adventures with Superman airs on Adult Swim and Max.
