NBC cancels Heroes Reborn

January 13, 2016 by Gary Collinson

For the second time, NBC has swung the axe on Heroes, with NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt revealing at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that Heroes Reborn will not return for a second season.

“That was always the plan, unless [creator Tim Kring] woke up one day and said, ‘Oh, I have another chapter to tell’,” said Greenblatt. “But I think we’re coming to the end of the world, maybe. Stay tuned.”

Heroes Reborn premiered to decent ratings, but its viewers have dwindled as the limited series went on, with the show failing to score higher than a 1.3 rating since November.
