This won’t come as too much of a surprise given that NBC pulled the show from the air last month with three episodes still to go, but it has now officially been announced that the DC workplace comedy Powerless has been cancelled after a single season.
Powerless was developed by Ben Queen (A to Z) and revolved around the staff of Wayne Security, a Wayne Enterprises subsidiary specialising in products for ordinary people who find themselves defenceless bystanders in battles between superheroes and supervillains. The cast included Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk, Rob Funches, Alan Tudyk and Jennie Pierson. It remains to be seen if and when the final episodes will air.
While Powerless has been canned, DC fans do have two new shows to look forward to this next season, with both Krypton and Black Lightning receiving series orders from Syfy and The CW respectively.
