Neon shares trailer for horror Cuckoo starring Hunter Schafer

February 9, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival next week, Neon has debuted the first trailer for the upcoming horror Cuckoo.

Written and directed by Tilman Singer, the film stars Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer as Gretchen, a teenager who leaves the US to live with her father at a resort in the German Alps, but something doesn’t seem right in their new home as Gretchen is plagued by strange occurrences, leading her to uncover a shocking secret.

Joining Hunter Schafer in the cast are Dan Stevens, Jessica Henwick, Jan Bluthardt, and Marton Csokas. Watch the trailer below…

Reluctantly, 17-year-old Gretchen leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König, her father’s boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma. Something doesn’t seem right in this tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that also concerns her own family.

Cuckoo arrives in cinemas on May 3rd.
