New update for World of Warships: Legends to bring cross-platform play next week

November 21, 2019 by Andrew Newton

A new for World of Warships: Legends update docks next Monday for both Xbox One and Playstation 4 and brings with it Ranked Battles, Black Friday Events, and, for the first time ever for a Wargaming console title, allow cross-platform play for gamers. A new video can be seen below which provides an overview of what’s to come next week.

With Cross-Platform Play, commanders will be able to take their ship into battle against or alongside any other Legends player in the world, regardless of platform.  This new feature will mean a reduction in waiting times for matchmaking, however at this moment in time players will be unable to chat between the consoles.

The November update also brings the new Ranked Mode, this mode provides players with the opportunity to take part in even more intense and competitive battles.  These battles will include substantial rewards for those taking part with the best loot saved for those making it to the top.   These competitive battles are the ultimate test of a player’s skill at the helm.

Black Friday will also arrive in World of Warships: Legends with an epic sale and some exclusive deals, including three “Black Edition” ships on sale for a discounted price compared to their normal counterparts.  These three vessels are Warspite B, Scharnhorst B, and the Atlanta B.  These ‘Black Edition’ vessels come with a jet black paint scheme making them easy to spot on the calm blue ocean.

“Making sure that our players have the best experience possible is our biggest goal, so I’m excited that both sets of fans will be able to enjoy World of Warships: Legends together,” states Victor Kislyi, Wargaming CEO. “This is just the first step in our cross-play efforts; it’s definitely something we want to build on in the future.”

Be sure to download the November update when it releases next Monday, 25th November.
