Nightwing director to tackle Dungeons & Dragons movie

February 21, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

Paramount Pictures, Hasbro Studios and their newly formed production division Allspark Productions are reportedly in negotiations with The LEGO Batman Movie‘s Chris McKay to direct the Dungeons & Dragons reboot.

McKay will be busy, having also signed on to helm Warner Bros. and DC’s Nightwing movie, as well as his producer duties on The LEGO Movie Sequel.

Variety also reveal that Michael Gillio will be on scripting duties, with Hasbro’s Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis producing.

All things being well, McKay will roll the dice on Dungeons & Dragons, 17 years since the lamentable Jeremy Irons/Marlon Wayans version, for a July 23rd 2021 release date.
