It’s unsurprising to see Disney bring to life a live-action Lilo & Stitch, as the studio is neck-deep in its remake era. But what is most shocking to fans is how charming and adorable the first-look trailer looks.
The eagerly anticipated new take on 2002’s animated classic has dropped the first official teaser. It looks lovely, bringing to life what Disney fans loved about the original. From the sister bond to the hijinks of our titular alien, it’s all brought to life in Disney’s upcoming release.
Lilo & Stitch features newcomer Maia Kealoha, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis. Check out the trailer below…
“Lilo & Stitch” is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family. The film is directed by award-winning filmmaker Dean Fleischer Camp, with a screenplay by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes, and stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis, and introducing Maia Kealoha. “Lilo & Stitch” is produced by Jonathan Eirich, p.g.a. and Dan Lin, with Tom Peitzman, Ryan Halprin, Louie Provost, Thomas Schumacher serving as executive producers.
Lilo & Stitch is set for release in theaters on May 23, 2025.
