Patty Jenkins still determined to have Lynda Carter cameo in Wonder Woman 2, sequel will be set in America

June 5, 2017 by Robert Kojder

There was some disappointment from Wonder Woman fans that the most iconic interpretation of the Amazon Princess, Lynda Carter, did not end up making a cameo in the first-ever big-screen adventure for the superheroine. Rest assured however that director Patty Jenkins did try to make this fan demand a reality and will not stop trying to get her involved in future projects. Check out Jenkins’ tweet on the subject below:

Oh we tried, tried, tried. And we won't stop trying. https://t.co/Zvla4SVfdM

So far, all that is known about the inevitable Wonder Woman sequel is that Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot are both contracted to return, with Jenkins saying it will most likely be set in America:

“The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right,” Jenkins tells EW. “She’s Wonder Woman. She’s got to come to America. It’s time.”

Let us know below in the comments if you’re hoping that Lynda Carter will be worked into the film for a cameo appearance, and what you’d like to see from the sequel…

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman sees Patty Jenkins (Monster) directing a cast that includes Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (The Theory of Everything), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), Said Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Force Majeure), Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead) and Ann Wolf.
