Playmobil’s James Bond Aston Martin DB5 – Goldfinger Edition set releasing in October

Coinciding with its return to the big screen in No Time to Die, 007’s iconic Aston Martin DB5 is set to get the Playmobil treatment with an official licensed set from the German toy manufacturer in the 70578 James Bond Aston Martin DB5 – Goldfinger Edition, which is set to go on sale in October.

A faithful recreation of the classic car, the DB5 comes with all of Q Branch’s refinements, including front wing machine guns, rear bulletproof screen, revolving number plates, extendable tyre slashers, and a functioning ejector seat. And that’s not all of course, as the set also includes James Bond, Auric Goldinger, Oddjob, and one of Goldfinger’s expendable henchmen; check out the official promo images here…

The name is Bond, James Bond and he’s world’s most famous secret agent. For nearly sixty years, the adventures of 007 have thrilled fans all over the world. Each new assignment is an action-packed adventure fuelled with amazing stunts, breathtaking car chases and, of course, all the latest gadgets. In his third on screen appearance in Goldfinger (1964), James Bond drives the iconic Aston Martin DB5 for the very first time. This silver Aston Martin comes with authentic gadgets including revolving number plates, a passenger ejector seat and much more. In this timeless vehicle, 007 out runs all of his pursuers in a spectacular chase and then thwarts the plans of villain Auric Goldfinger. This PLAYMOBIL set is a must-have for all Bond fans!

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

No Time To Die stars Daniel Craig (James Bond), Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), Léa Seydoux (Madeleine Swann), Ben Whishaw (Q), Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter) and Christoph Waltz (Blofeld), while new additions include Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Billy Magnussen (Velvet Buzzsaw), Dali Benssalah (A Faithful Man) and David Dencik (Top of the Lake).

No Time to Die hits UK cinemas on September 30th, and US theaters on October 8th.
