Poker Face season 2 adds Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes and more

July 18, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Creator, writer, director, and EP Rian Johnson is gearing up for another round of Poker Face, and there’s a gaggle of excellent actors joining series lead Natasha Lyonne.

Deadline has confirmed a number of new actors coming to the mystery-of-the-week, including fan favorites and great comedic talents. The latest additions include Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul, Parish), Katie Holmes (Our Town, Ray Donovan), Gaby Hoffmann (Transparent, Eric), and Kumail Nanjiani (Welcome to Chippendales, Only Murders in the Building).

Much like the plots for the second season, details regarding the cast are under wraps. Showrunner Tony Tost serves as executive producer for Season 2 alongside Rian Johnson, Natasha Lyonne, Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Adam Arkin, Nora Zuckerman, and Lilla Zuckerman.

The series follows Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and, with every stop, encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve. Lyonne will again direct another episode for the second season.

Poker Face season one is now streaming on Peacock. Stay tuned for more news on the series.
