Pre-production reportedly underway on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

February 23, 2018 by Gary Collinson

We’ve still got Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 to go before the curtain falls on Phase Three of the MCU, but Marvel Studios is already gearing up for the next stage of its cinematic universe.

The as-yet-untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is slated to kick off Phase Four on July 5th 2019, with cameras set to begin rolling this May, and now we have a report from That Hashtag Show which claims that pre-production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is underway in Atlanta, Georgia.

Guardians Vol. 3 isn’t expected to begin filming until early in 2019, with writer-director James Gunn revealing that the plan is for the threequel to hit theaters in 2020. So far, we’ve got very little in the way of details about the movie, although Gunn has confirmed that Gamora will be a focus of the film, while Elizabeth Debicki will also reprise her role as Ayesha from last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Adam Warlock is expected to feature.
