Rafael Casal joins Marvel’s Loki season 2 for “major role”

July 19, 2022 by Gary Collinson

With filming on the second season of Marvel Studios’ Loki now underway, Deadline is reporting that Rafael Casal (Blindspotting) has joined the cast of the Disney+ show in what is being described as a “key role”.

Although character details for Casal are being kept under wraps, the actor was spotted on set alongside Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius, both of whom are returning for the second season.

Casal is best known for co-writing, producing and starring in Blindspotting along with Daveed Diggs, while he also executive produces the Starz spinoff series. His other on screen credits include Good Lord Bird, Bad Education and Are You Afraid of the Dark?.

We are yet to get an official casting announcement for the second season of Marvel’s highest-rated series, although Tom Hiddleston did state on Jimmy Kimmel Live that the “whole cast” of the first season will be back.
