Rebecca Ferguson teaming with Chris Pratt for Amazon MGM Studios’ Mercy

March 5, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Fresh off playing a huge role in Dune: Part Two‘s success, Rebecca Ferguson is dusting off the spice in order to team up with Chris Pratt for sci-fi thriller Mercy.

According to Deadline the Mission: Impossible actor is set to star in the Amazon MGM Studios’ action film for Night Watch and Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov.

Written by Marco van Belle (Arthur & Merlin), Mercy is set in the near future when capital crime has increased, and follows a detective (Chris Pratt) who is accused of a violent crime and forced to prove his innocence. It’s not clear what role Ferguson will be playing.

Ferguson is currently in production on season 2 of her critically-acclaimed Apple TV+ series Silo.

Set to go before cameras this Spring, confidence is reportedly high in the project, so Mercy will skip a Prime Video debut and receive a worldwide theatrical release.
