Netflix has debuted the first trailer, a poster and images for Shirley, the upcoming drama from writer-director John Ridley which stars Regina King as political icon Shirley Chisholm and tells the story of how the first Black congresswoman made her trailblazing run for president of the United States in 1972.
Joining King in the cast are Lance Reddick, Lucas Hedges, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Christina Jackson, Dorian Crossmond Missick, Amirah Vann, André Holland and Terrence Howard. Watch the trailer below…
