Retro-style brawler Marvel Cosmic Invasion gets a new trailer and December release

October 23, 2025 by Gary Collinson

Channelling the classic arcade beat ’em ups of yesteryear, Tribute Games and Dometu – the team behind the acclaimed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge – are bringing superhero brawling action to PC and consoles this December with the release of Marvel Cosmic Invasion.

The retro-themed side-scroller will allow players to take control of 15 iconic heroes as they fight to protect the Marvel Universe from Annihilus and his invading forces, and a newly-released trailer gives us a tantalising glimpse at the button-bashing fun that awaits fans in December; check it out below…

“The cosmos must fall so that I might live!” So swears Annihilus, the living death that walks! After an unprecedented attack is launched across the galaxy, all life hangs in the balance.

Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Captain America and many more heroes, both earth-born and cosmic, will join forces in a star-spanning brawling adventure against the deadly Annihilation Wave.

From New York City to the depths of the Negative Zone, the future of the Universe will be fought for across the stars in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion!

Marvel Cosmic Invasion will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on December 1st 2025.
