With less than a week to go before the mist clears on Christophe Gans’ Return to Silent Hill, Cineverse and Konami have released a trailer online which offers at glimpse at the iconic monsters which inhabit the world of the terrifying videogame adaptation.

The Brotherhood of the Wolf director returns to the titular town he first adapted for the big screen with 2006’s $100 million grossing Silent Hill, by crafting a sequel based on the critically acclaimed 2001 PS2 game Silent Hill 2.

Return to Silent Hill stars War Horse‘s Jeremy Irvine as a man drawn to an eerie town when he receives a letter concerning his long-lost love Mary, leading to a search that causes him to question his own sanity as he descends deeper into the darkness that has transformed the once familiar place. Take a look at the video below…

When a mysterious letter calls him back to Silent Hill in search of her, he finds a once-recognizable town transformed by an unknown evil.
