Rosemary’s Baby prequel Apartment 7A shares first trailer

August 29, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its world premiere at Fantastic Fest this September, Paramount+ has debuted the first trailer for Apartment 7A, the psychological thriller set three years before the events that took place in the apartment building of the horror classic Rosemary’s Baby.

Directed by Natalie Erika James, the film stars Julia Garner as an ambitious young dancer who is struggling after sustaining a career devastating injury, as she is welcomed by the mysterious residents of a luxury apartment building, who offer her everything she’s ever dreamed of, but she soon comes to suspect that an evil lurks below the surface of her new home. Watch the trailer below…

An ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner, Ozark) dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple (Dianne Wiest, I Care a Lot, and Kevin McNally, Pirates of the Caribbean film series) welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer (Jim Sturgess, Across the Universe) offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.

The cast of Apartment 7A includes Julia Garner, Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess, Kevin McNally, Marli Siu, Andrew Buchan, Rosy McEwen, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.

Apartment 7A premieres on September 27th in the US.
