Rumour: Marvel developing Moon Knight series for Netflix

October 14, 2015 by Luke Owen

With the success of Daredevil bringing the show a second season and Jessica Jones set to make her debut, a new rumour has come to light that Netflix could be getting another Marvel property in the form of Moon Knight.

“It’s funny you should mention Moon Knight because that’s not being developed for film,” Heroic Hollywood’s El Mayimbe says after Death of Superman Lives director Jon Schnepp suggests it as one of the three mystery Marvel movies on Collider Heroes. “The Heroic Hot rumour is that Moon Knight is actually being developed for Netflix seen as he is their version of Bruce Wayne. So the way they’re back-door piloting Punisher appearance in Daredevil Season Two, same thing with Moon Knight. Again, he’s their version of Bruce Wayne, it’s one of the staples they’re developing for their Netflix strategy, and I’d rather see the Netflix version than the cinematic one.”

Mayimbe isn’t quite clear on his rumour that Moon Knight is getting his own show, or is set to appear in another Netflix series, so we’ll see where this goes. Take this with a pinch of salt for now.
