Whenever you have a big sprawling worlds, whether it’s in movies or video games, the reality is someone gets undercut. You’re often dealing with a big bad who has such a magnetic presence, they still the screen time from their underlings.

Such is the case with Assassin’s Creed. As the latest entry, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, is being played, it’s worth looking back at this esteemed series and realizing that there were a lot of great small-time enemies who either looked cool or acted scarily, yet didn’t get much more than a single mission devoted to them.
