Sci-fi romance Zoe adds Christina Aguilera, Theo James, Rashida Jones, Miranda Otto and Matthew Gray Gubler

May 3, 2017 by Amie Cranswick

Director Drake Doremus (Equals) has filled out the supporting cast of his upcoming sci-fi romance Zoe, with Christina Aguilera (Nashville), Theo James (Divergent), Rashida Jones (Angie Tribeca), Miranda Otto (24: Legacy) and Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds) all signing on for the film.

The new additions join the previously announced Lea Seydoux (Spectre) and Ewan McGregor (Beauty and the Beast), the latter of whom replaced Charlie Hunnam (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword), who was forced to drop out of the project due to scheduling difficulties.

Zoe “follows two colleagues at a revolutionary research lab who design technology to improve and perfect romantic relationships. As their work progresses, their discoveries become more profound than they could ever have imagined.”

Production on Zoe is set to get underway in Montreal next week.
