SDCC: Ron Perlman on Hellboy 3: “I want to finish the f*cking trilogy!”

July 9, 2015 by Gary Collinson

For the past month, Ron Perlman has been taking every possible opportunity to push for the long-rumoured third instalment of the Hellboy trilogy, and with a captive audience at San Diego Comic-Con today for the Hand of God panel, the actor has once again reiterated his desire to make Hellboy III a reality.

“If there’s a real honesty to fan culture relationships, we owe the world the finale of Hellboy,” said Perlman (via Deadline). “We set up the whole film. It’s a deal we made (with fans). I don’t want to do Hellboy IV or V. I want to finish the fucking trilogy!”

At the back end of June, Perlman sent out an intriguing Instagram post teasing that Hellboy III could be moving forward, however he clarified during that panel that while he’s had some discussions with director Guillermo del Toro, there’s nothing concrete at present.
