According to The Tracking Board, Rogen is set to star in the project, alongside the producing role he is already occupying alongside regular partner Evan Goldberg.

James Franco, as well as directing, is set to star in the film as enigmatic writer-director-star Tommy Wiseau, whose work on The Room has become notorious on the film’s way to its status as the “best worst” movie ever made.

Franco’s younger brother, Dave (Unfinished Business), will also appear in The Disaster Artist as Wiseau’s co-star Greg Sestero, upon whose book the script is based.

The Disaster Artist is set to shoot this December.
