Shortlist of actors for Cyclops and Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse

November 19, 2014 by Gary Collinson

With casting underway on X-Men: Apocalypse, it seems that 20th Century Fox and director Bryan Singer have identified a shortlist of candidates to take on the roles of Cyclops and Jean Grey, played of course by James Marsden and Famke Janssen in the previous X-Men movies.

According to The Wrap, Chloe Moretz (The Equalizer), Elle Fanning (Maleficent) and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) are under consideration for the role of the young Jean Grey, while Ben Hardy (EastEnders), Charlie Rowe (Neverland) and Timothee Chalamet (Interstellar) are being considered for the part of Scott Summers. According to the site’s sources, the actors have met with Singer, but it is said that there are other names in the mix.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release May 19th, 2016 with James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) all confirmed to return.
