Somehow, someway, Ezra Miller shows up for The Flash reshoots

October 8, 2022 by EJ Moreno

Warner Bros. Discovery is not letting go of The Flash movie, and the latest reshoot news is another example of the studio sticking to its guns.

The Wrap reports Ezra Miller shot a day of pickups last week for The Flash. Pickups are another term for a reshoot or additional photography, usually involving small, relatively minor shots.

This marks Miller’s first work day with Warner Bros following months of strange and disturbing behavior, which have even resulted in arrests and police involvement. They have been charged with burglary in Vermont, and involved in various legal issues across Hawaii, Massachusetts, and North Dakota.

“Miller and their agent met with Warner Bros.’ film heads back in August,” claims The Wrap in a new piece. The publication says the meeting was “very positive” about the future of DC’s The Flash. It seems like the studio is also making the right moves since The Wrap notes that an insider with knowledge of the project says “the film has been testing positively.”

No matter the trouble, Miller and Warner Bros. Discovery are determined to launch this Flash movie. It’s reported The Flash is being treated as a way to restart the DCEU timeline.

In the film, the titular character will travel across the multiverse, encountering other versions of himself and a version of Supergirl from an alternate timeline. We shall even see Michael Keaton as Batman after his appearance in The Batgirl was scrapped and the entire film canned.

The Flash stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash alongside his Zack Snyder’s Justice League co-stars Ben Affleck (Batman) and Kiersey Clemons (Iris West) with Andy Muschietti (It) directing. The Flash will see Michael Keaton making his return as Batman along with Ron Livingston (Office Space) as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu (Pan’s Labyrinth) as Nora Allen, and Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) as Supergirl. Michael Shannon and Antje Traue are also expected to reprise their Man of Steel roles as General Zod and Faora-Ul.

The Flash is set for release on June 23rd 2023.
