Sony remaking Stuart Little

August 2, 2015 by Gary Collinson

According to The Tracking Board, Sony Pictures and Red Wagon Entertainment are teaming up to remake Stuart Little with a new hybrid live-action/animated movie “in the vein of John Hughes” (which sees to be popular these days at Sony, what with the tone of the new Spider-Man reboot).

Based on the 1945 children’s novel from E.B. White, 1999’s Stuary Little was a big hit for Sony, pulling in $300 million around the globe and spawning two sequels – 2002’s Stuart Little 2 and 2005’s direct-to-video release Stuart Little 3: Call of the Wild, as well as a short-lived animated TV series that ran for one season in 2003.
