Source Code 2 in the works, Anna Foerster to direct

December 4, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Variety has revealed that The Mark Gordon Company and Vendome Pictures are pushing ahead with a sequel to Source Code, with Anna Foerster (Criminal Minds, Outlander) set to pick up the directing reins from Duncan Jones.

Released in 2011, the sci-fi thriller starred Jake Gyllenhaal as a soldier whose mission is to relive a train crash over and over until he discovers the culprits. Also featuring in the cast are Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga and Jeffrey Wright.

At present, there’s no word on the potential plot or cast for Source Code 2, but presumably it will follow the same concept with a new scenario and set of characters.
