Star Trek: Picard officially announced with logo and first-look image featuring Patrick Stewart

During CBS’ upfronts presentation, the network has officially announced Star Trek: Picard, the upcoming CBS All Access series focusing on Patrick Stewart’s fan-favourite character Captain Jean-Luc Picard and picking up the story some two decades after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

During the presentation, a first look image was also shown to attendees, which gives us a look at Stewart’s Picard for the first time since 2002’s Star Trek: Nemesis. Check it out here…

Star Trek: Picard is expected to premiere at the end of the year sees Stewart joined in the cast by Santiago Cabera (Salvation), Michelle Hurd (Blindspot), Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Harry Treadaway (Mr. Mercedes), Isa Briones (Takers) and Evan Evagora (Fantasy Island).
