Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PS4 and Xbox One release set for September

August 6, 2024 by Ricky Church

Respawn Entertainment and EA Games have announced a Playstation 4 and Xbox One version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released on September 17th.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was originally released April 28th, 2023, but only for new generation Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC. The game’s size and graphics could not be handled on the PS4 or Xbox One, but the companies announced last year development on versions that could work on the previous consoles for those who do not yet have a PS5 or Xbox One due to their continued demand.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order. It follows former Jedi Cal Kestis, a survivor of Order 66, as he has spent the early years of the Empire’s reign in hiding and unconnected to the Force. When he is discovered by the Empire’s Inquisitors he is forced to flee and meets Cere, another Jedi survivor. Together they make new allies in their battle to prevent the Inquisitors from gaining powerful weapons. Survivor picks up 5 years after Fallen Order and sees Cal and his team continue to fight against the Empire, the Inquisitors and new enemies.

A third game in the Star Wars Jedi series is already in development, but a release window has not yet been revealed.

In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis returns as a stronger and more experienced Jedi Knight. To escape the Empire’s long shadow and a mysterious threat from the galaxy’s distant past, Cal must reunite with old friends and join forces with new allies. New abilities, traversal options and combat styles await in this beloved adventure.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released for Playstation 4 and Xbox One on September 17th.
