Star Wars: The Last Jedi will “absolutely address” Rey’s parents

April 15, 2017 by Robert Kojder

The question on the minds of Star Wars fans around the world (and moviegoers in general) is the mystery sounding Rey’s parentage. Is she a Skywalker? A Kenobi? A Palpatine? Or is she the offspring of an entirely different bloodline, and one that we aren’t expecting? Regardless, it seems that the tantalizing drama is set to be addressed in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Speaking to Good Morning America, director Rian Johnson directly answered “It’s something that is absolutely going to be addressed… The other part of it is there are lots of surprises in this movie and lots of twists and turns, and I really want people to experience those when they see the movie for the first time. How we address that and how you feel about it and what happens with that is one of them.”

Daisy Ridley also spoke to MTV about the subject, stating that: “The one thing I have seen, cause I did some ADR last week, was a little clip of something I didn’t know was going to happen in it and I was like, ‘Oh wow, okay.’ I think quite a few questions people have are answered in this.”

So, what is Rey’s bloodline? Leave your predictions in the comments below…
