Stranger Things’ Randy Havens joins Godzilla: King of the Monsters

May 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

It looks like we’ll be seeing a Stranger Things reunion of sorts in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, with director Michael Dougherty revealing that actor Randy Havens (who plays teacher Mr. Clarke in the supernatural series) has joined the cast of the Godzilla sequel, joining the previously announced Millie Bobby Brown.

Everyone welcome @MrRandyHavens to @MonarchSciences. @GodzillaMovie

— Mike Dougherty (@Mike_Dougherty) May 24, 2017

Based on Dougherty’s tweet, we can probably assume that Havens will be playing a scientist at Project Monarch, the monster tracking organisation featured in both the first Godzilla movie and this year’s Kong: Skull Island.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is set for release on March 22nd, 2019, and sees Michael Dougherty (Krampus) directing a cast that includes Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel), Aisha Hinds (Star Trek Into Darkness), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) and Randy Havens (Stranger Things), along with the returning Sally Hawkins (Dr. Vivienne Graham) and Ken Watanabe (Dr. Ishiro Serizawa).
