Sun & Moon – Burning Shadows hits the shelves with a free Pokémon coming to the 3DS at GAME

August 7, 2017 by Villordsutch

For fans of Pokémon to “Catch’em all” is truly a way of life.  Most of the numerous Trainers out there know that the third expansion of the Trading Card Game series titled, Sun & Moon—Burning Shadows, is now hitting the UK shelves; this being some rather excellent news for the millions of Pokéholics.  Though this isn’t the only thing occurring, as come the 18th August at all local GAME stores – in the UK – there is going to be something rather special appearing too.

Sun & Moon—Burning Shadows, includes two new theme decks with over 140 cards, these include brand-new Pokémon-GX, full-art Supporter cards and to celebrate Salazzle-GX appearing first time in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon video game players can head into their local GAME store from 18th August to receive a battle-ready Salazzle for their Nintendo 3DS system, at no cost.

Salazzle

Salazzle evolve only from female Salandit, which are uncommon encounters in the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon video games. The venomous Poison- and Fire-type Pokémon Salazzle has its signature Corrosion Ability, which enables this Pokémon to make even usually resistant Steel- and Poison-type Pokémon badly poisoned using its potent Toxic move.

Salazzle will be distributed with the following attributes:

  • LEVEL: 50
  • TYPE: Poison and Fire
  • ABILITY: Corrosion
  • MOVES: Fake Out, Toxic, Sludge Bomb and Flamethrower
  • HELD ITEM: Focus Sash

From 18th August, Salazzle will be distributed battle-ready, so players can jump right into online or local battles to test their skills.

To receive Salazzle, fans must own a system in the Nintendo 3DS family and a Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon game. Please ask staff in a GAME store for instructions on how to receive a special code to obtain Salazzle.

Another treat for Trainers in celebration of Sun & Moon—Burning Shadows is an exclusive promo card featuring Stufful, available at Toys“R”Us as a gift with purchase from the 4th August.
