After six days and over 70 features, Sundance 2021 is in the books. While the festival went virtual for the first time, it still provided some massive movie moments to kick off the year. From future Academy Awards contenders to cult classics in the making, there’s no denying that this year’s Sundance is quite memorable. Nicolas Cage debuted a new film, several filmmakers made their debut, and CODA made festival history with its insane $25 million deal with Apple.

The 2021 Sundance Film Festival took place from January 28 to February 3, 2021. This version of the festival combined in-person screenings at the Ray Theatre in Park City, Utah, with screenings held online and on screens and drive-ins in 24 states and territories across the United States.
