Survival game Fade to Silence arrives on Steam Early Access

December 14, 2017 by Andrew Newton

There’s nothing like a good survival game and if you are a fan then you will be interested to heat that THQ Nordic have announced the release of Fade to Silence onto Steam Early Access.  This post apocalyptic survival title will see players take on not only a variety of enemies but also nature itself.  THQ Nordic have released a new trailer to celebrate the game’s release, and you can watch it below…

In Fade to Silence a calamity has struck the Earth and the world is experiencing a never ending winter.  In the game players take the role of man called Ash who sets out through a post-apocalyptic, frozen wasteland to seek out resources essential for survival.  The resources available are dwindling so exploring for more can take players through a vast area where the biggest threat is the extreme cold.  Despite the elements being the ultimate threat to survival players will also encounter a variety of eldritch monsters.

As players survive and overcome various challenges such as building bases, collecting food and materials for heat, they will attract followers who can be brought into the refuge and bring more skills with them.

Fade to Silence features:

  •  The launch version lets you explore a vast area including a river delta, a dense forest region and cultivated farmland of an 8km² area.
  • Wolf Sled Expeditions: Pack your sled, take a follower with you and venture on long term expeditions into the farthest regions.
  • Fight System: Tiered weapon system, melee and ranged combat.
  • Moral choices: Save and recruit various NPCs to join your group. Harsh choices have to be made; who do you take, who do you leave behind.
  • Fight the increasingly dangerous supernatural monsters that roam the frozen wastes.
  • Trust your inner voice. It is your friend.
