Tara Reid and Ian Ziering returning for Sharknado 3

As Syfy gears up for production on Sharknado 3, Entertainment Weekly has revealed that ‘stars’ Tara Reid and Ian Ziering are set to reunite with director Anthony C. Ferrante for more shark-based mayhem.

The third instalment in the ridiculously over-the-top series will shift the action to Washington, D.C., as the airborne sharks destroy the U.S. capital and the Eastern Seaboard.

The first Sharknado was proved to be a monster hit on social media when it aired in 2013, and led to a sequel – the creatively-titled Sharknado 2: The Second One – which became Syfy’s most-watched original movie of all-time with 3.9 million viewers.
