NACON and NACON Studio Milan have announced that Terminator: Survivors will be postponed once again. The game was first delayed back in 2024 with the intention for release this year, but that now isn’t going to happen. In a letter addressed to fans from studio director Marco Ponte, is has been said that the game is not yet in a condition to fully represent the universe of The Terminator.
In this recent letter, Ponte states how they want to provide a fully polished experience when players step into the Terminator universe, rather than a launch into early access. This means that Terminator: Survivors will not launch this year. The worst thing is, at the moment, there is no indication of when the new date will be.
“We’ve also had to overhaul our release plans, instead of launching in early access, we want your first steps into the wasteland to be a complete and polished experience,” said Ponte “You might have guessed already, but that means Terminator: Survivors won’t be launching in 2025.”

The disappointing news doesn’t end there. In the same letter, Marco Ponte points out how the NACON Milan Studio has always intended to deliver “an authentic and immersive open-world Terminator experience”,but after months of internal testing, as well as discussions with players and fans, they have come to the conclusion that they will have to put aside the cooperative multiplayer aspect of the game.

It’s always better to release a polished game rather than one filled with bugs and a lack of real immersion, especially a game based on one of the most iconic universes, but how do you feel about this delay and the lack of multiplayer? Let us know on our social media pages @FlickeringMyth…
