For this reason, today, we’re going take a closer look at the ten most expensive mounts in World of Warcraft that real money can buy. It’s never been so crucial to be well-informed about each of the Top WoW Mounts and BoE mounts’ price tags.
It’s a fact that Legion has introduced almost 30 new mounts up for grabs and that adds to the already significant number of rideable mounts available in the game. Just shy of 400 (depending on class) is the variety of them in WoW at the moment. Whoa indeed !Okay, enough with the data – let’s check out the fanciest and upscale mounts.
1. Reins of The Swift Spectral Tiger ($790)
Nostalgia is sure to kick in when we talk about the Spectral Tiger. Introduced back in 2007 during The Burning Crusade, this beauty is worth every single penny. It comes from the WoW Trading Card Game and just for your information guys – this mount is owned by only approximately 3% of players, according to Wowhead. What does that mean? If you get yourself a Swift Spectral Tiger, you’ll be rather unique and chic.
2. Reins of The Spectral Tiger ($565)
You can think of this mount as the younger brother of the Swift Spectral Tiger. In essence, the difference comes from the fact that the other one is an epic item and that the swift tiger has armor on its paws and tail so that it looks more imposing that way. Still, exclusivity is not an issue for blue Spectral Tiger by any means. Perhaps it won’t make you feel as special as owning the purple (epic) version of it, but you’ll be unique nonetheless (same as the epic variation, only 3% have one).
3. Feldrake ($290)
Introduced during MoP, this flying mount is a rare sight in WoW, to say the least. The Feldrake is also part of the War of the Ancients expansion for the WoW Trading Card Game. Needless to say, you’re bound to feel like a badass if you possess this drake. Not only does it look special, but it’s owned by roughly 2% of the player base.
4. Magic Rooster Egg ($268)
We enter Wrath of the Lich King territory with this one. It was added in 2009 as part of a patch, and it basically is one big… rooster. If your dream is to have a giant chicken as a mount, then look no further. It’s as exclusive as the spectral tigers, but the whole visual concept of it takes it to another level of one-of-a-kind.
5. Amani Dragonhawk ($199)
Ah, good old Cata. The Amani Dragonhawk is a flying mount, and it was introduced by a patch from way back in 2011, alongside other mounts. It’s unnecessary even to mention that it’s part of the Trading Card game, right? It seems to be as rare as some (if not most) of the other more upmarket BoE mounts (attained by about 3 %).Also,don’t confuse “Amani” with “Armani.”
6. Wooly White Rhino ($199)
Well, this one came out in late WotLK. To put it simply, it’s pretty much a white rhino with a mean expression on its face. Quite the bargain if you consider one thing (legend has it that it was bridled by a gnome).Rarity score is the same as most of the other mounts, with the exception of the Feldrake and the Corrupted/Blazing Hippogryph . Still, show rhinos some love and get yourself a Wooly White Rhino.
7. X-51 Nether Rocker X-TREME ($195)
A mount that not only is an inanimate object, but in fact, it’s a rocket! It came out in early 2008 during TBC, and it still is one of the funkiest flying mounts in the game. The chances are that you’ll feel rather X-TREME cruising around with this nether rocket. Having a crosshair attached to its front and real flames and smoke coming out of the back, definitely add to the exclusivity to an already exclusive mount.
8. Corrupted Hippogryph ($190)
This flying mount came out in early 2012, and it looks just like a regular hippogryph, except, it’s been “corrupted,”(i.e., its eyes glow in bright green, and it looks crazy). Apparently, the Corrupted Hippogryph stands as one of the more rare mounts since it seems to be attained by a mere 2% of WoW players. Taking into account the appearance of this hippogryph, you’re bound to feel special possessing it.
9. Blazing Hippogryph ($190)
The Blazing Hyppogryph was introduced almost two years earlier than its corrupted counterpart, during Wrath of the Lich King. Is it more awesome than the Corrupted Hyppogryph? It comes down to your personal preference. Regarding uniqueness: this one shares common ground with its younger sibling. Once again, around 2% of the player base owns one.
10. Reins of Poseidus ($149)
The mount looks just like a seahorse, don’t you guys agree? Anyway, this one came out during Cataclysm, and it’s rather extraordinary as it’s an aquatic mount. Rarity levels are the same as most of the other mounts on the list. But if you take into account the price here, it turns out to be a superb deal. After all, who doesn’t want to ride on a seahorse?
