The Blacklist spinoff in the works with Famke Janssen headlining

March 30, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that NBC is looking to launch a spinoff from its hit series The Blacklist, which will be headlined by X-Men veteran Famke Janssen.

Episode 22 of The Blacklist season three is set to serve as a backdoor pilot for the potential show; it is written by creator Jon Bokenjamp and showrunner John Eisendrath, and will see Janssen as Susan “Scottie” Halsted, who is said to have been “conceived to be to Tom (Ryan Eggold) what Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) is to Liz (Megan Boone).”

The spinoff will also see Edi Gathegi reprising the role of Mr. Solomon for what will be a regular role, should NBC proceed with a full series.
