The cast of HBO’s Watchmen pilot has been revealed

May 23, 2018 by Ricky Church

After Damon Lindelof posted a lengthy letter to fans yesterday, we are now met with even more news regarding HBO’s Watchmen pilot which Lindelof has crafted. Variety has reported several actors have been cast in the pilot, including Regina King in the lead role.

King previously worked with both Lindelof and HBO on the series The Leftovers. Joining her in the cast are Don Johnson (Miami Vice), Tim Blake Nelson (The Incredible Hulk), Louis Gossett Jr. (Roots), Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby) and Andrew Howard (Limitless). It is unknown which roles the cast will be playing at this point, but fans can expect some new faces to appear in the series.

Lindelof revealed Watchmen would be updated to take place in a modern setting and would be more of a ‘remix’ than a remake of Zack Snyder’s film adaptation or a straight adaptation of the graphic novel. Speaking about the characters, Lindelof said “Some of the characters will be unknown. New faces. New masks to cover them. We also intend to revisit the past century of Costumed Adventuring through a surprising yet familiar set of eyes…and it is here we will be taking our greatest risks.”

Who do you think these actors will portray? Are there any you want to see take on classic Watchmen characters or see as originals to the pilot? Let us know below…
