The CW places series order for Arrow/Flash spinoff DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, synopsis released

May 8, 2015 by Gary Collinson

We already know we’ll be getting new seasons of The Flash and Arrow, and now The CW has confirmed that the upcoming spinoff DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has been given a series order, along with an official synopsis…

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is expected to get underway in the fall, with a cast that includes Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Victor Garber (Martin Stein/Firestorm), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave) and Arrow’s Caity Lotz alongside Ciara Renee (Law & Order: SVU) as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who) as Rip Hunter, and Franz Drameh (Attack the Block) as Jay Jackson.
