Family is all-important in the Fast & Furious world, not only in the films but for the cast of actors making these movies.
There’s no better example of that than the late Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker, getting a role in the newest movie, Fast X.
Three original stars, who started the franchise in 2001 with Paul Walker, spoke to People about the importance of this moment. Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez all shared their feelings.
Diesel tells People, “It did something to my soul to see her want to honor her father and to contribute in her own way to his life’s work… It meant everything.”
Rodriguez and Brewster back that sentiment, with Rodriguez saying, “It’s everything to us because [Paul’s] memory is never going to die within the franchise, so as long as we’re doing it, we have to maintain that, [keeping his] energy alive.” Brewster calls the moment inspiring: “To have her be on set and work her butt off was really inspiring.”

Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.
