Having dropped some first-look images this week, Amazon Studios has unsealed the Vault and unleashed the official trailer for its hotly-anticipated live-action series adaptation of Bethesda’s acclaimed video game franchise Fallout.
Taking place in an alternate post-apocalyptic future, the series hails from Westworld’s Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan and stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) as a young woman who is forced to leave her subterranean safety as she embarks on a perilous mission across a Nuclear war-ravaged future Earth. Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.
