The Pick of the Flicks Podcast #17 – Anna and the Apocalypse director John McPhail on Ghostbusters

November 28, 2018 by Tom Beasley

On The Pick of the Flicks Podcast, a different guest drops in every week to chat about their favourite movie. This week, director John McPhail stops by to chat about sci-fi comedy classic Ghostbusters…

This week, filmmaker John McPhail pops in to chat about his new Christmas zombie musical Anna and the Apocalypse, as well as his choice of favourite film – 1984’s Ghostbusters. He discusses the precise alchemy of the casting, the combination of character with comedy and the shortcomings of improv-focused modern comedy movies.
