The Pokémon Company to go for a Guinness World Record

November 14, 2024 by Andrew Newton

To celebrate the recent launch of Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks The Pokémon Company International will be Guinness World Record for the longest unboxing live stream.  This attempt will run over a marathon 24 hours starting 21st November.

Starting at 12pm (GMT) on 21st November, Poké fans can go to The Pokémon Company International’s YouTube and Twitch channels to watch a variety of different content creators from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain carry out the most amazing unboxing ever. As streamers unbox the amazing new cards, including the new Pikachu ex, there will be surprises and special products revealed as unboxed during this marathon event, plus there will be opportunities for viewers to win packs and products.

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks will bring players the Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, such as the Pikachu ex who comes with the powerful Topaz Bolt attack.  These are available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and special collections at Pokémon Centers and participating retailers around the world.

Fans of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk may notice that there are cards to collect that are themed around the artificial paradise first introduced in the DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, the Terarium.

Be sure to tune in to The Pokémon Company International’s Youtube and Twitch channels from noon on 21st November and watch them break a brand new Guinness World Record.
